CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE PASSING OF HIS HIGHNESS PRINCE KARIM AL-HUSSAINI, AGA KHAN IV.
The Inter-Religious Council of Kenya extends its condolences to the Aga Khan family and the global Ismaili community for the passing of His Highness Prince Karim Al-Hussaini, Aga Khan IV, the 49th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.
His dedicated efforts to improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable populations through humanitarian initiatives, sustainable development, and social progress has left an enduring mark globally. His vital role in interfaith harmony and dialogue as he emphasized the view of Islam as one that teaches compassion and tolerance and that upholds human dignity is to be celebrated; as a defender of Islamic culture and values, and a builder of Interfaith bridges. His commitment to matters on health care, housing, education and rural economic development will continue to impact communities through generations.
