The Inter-Religious Council of Kenya launched the construction of classrooms, sanitation facilities, a borehole, and the provision of desks at Jila Primary School, Bamba, Ganze Sub-County.
The initiative, supported by the Latter-day Saints, Mombasa Cement, and the County Government of Kilifi, aims to bridge critical gaps in the education sector identified through a Social Intelligence Reporting exercise conducted by faith leaders in Kilifi in collaboration with UNICEF Kenya and the State Department for Economic Planning.
“The foundation we lay today is not just made of bricks and mortar, it is a foundation for the future of our children, the hope of our communities, and the development of our society,” – Rt. Rev. Willybard Lagho, IRCK Chairman. He further underscored that quality education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty, empowering young minds, and fostering a more just and prosperous society.
