The Inter-Religious Council of Kenya, led by the Chairman, Rev. Fr. Joseph Mutie joined other stakeholders at the Launch of the 2022 IEBC Post Election Evaluation Report. The Report evaluates what worked and what did not and proposes recommendations to inform strategies to be engaged in, in the next electoral cycles.
“The faith community will continue to join hands with independent commissions such as the IEBC elected leaders, the international community and all stakeholders to spearhead national dialogue, reconciliation, healing, and electoral reforms.”- Rev. Fr. Joseph Mutie
He thanked the Commission for evaluating the 9th August 2022 General Election and coming up with the report.
“The report is clearly a culmination of in-depth reflection on the achievements and challenges in the last electoral cycle. We call on the commission to pay attention to the areas of improvement highlighted in the report. The religious fraternity will continue to pray for and partner with the commission in every effort aimed at strengthening Kenya’s democracy.”
