An evening to remember!
On behalf of all of us here at the Inter-Religious Council of Kenya (IRCK), we would like to express our profound gratitude to you, for attending the inaugural Youth Innovation and Award Gala Dinner on May 22, 2015, at the Laico Regency Hotel, Nairobi.
We thank the ten finalists for their inspiring and informative presentations. Your effort was a candid reminder that the youth of this country are not short of talent, ambition and all that it takes to sit on the decision making table. We congratulate the winners of the inaugural youth completion; Sudi Brian (Egerton University), Arthur Muhia (University of Kabianga) and Jane Wangare (JKUAT) for work well done.
The theme of the award dinner gala was contextualized perfectly by the key note speaker Prof. PLO Lumumba “We must sustain dialogue on how to translate the 17 values and principles in the Constitution to become a clarion call that is internalized by all. We need to have values that are proudly placed in our minds and hearts.”
The event was a huge success thanks to our guests, delegates, judges, theologians, members of the IRCK standing commissions, members of IRCK executive committee and the IRCK secretariat. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partner under the social transformation campaign and the Kenya Movement for Catholic Professionals for their great support.
Special thanks also to our outstanding emcee, Sheikh Latif Shaban, who skillfully guided us through the evening’s programme.
We stay grateful to the Almighty God for guiding us through the successful planning of the event to its culmination.
There were many more wonderful moments of the night, all captured through videos, and photographs available on our website www.interreligiouscouncil.or.ke
